Forbidden Lovers in the Night

Forbidden lovers in the night,

Taking what they need to survive

In there fools paradise

Forgetting the reality

they choose not to have

Forbidden lovers in the night ...

The dark wind blows

through the trees where they meet,

Both running to a passion held within

Embracing quickly,

feeling time slipping away

They talk,

they laugh,

and they hold each other close,

Desperately they turn to each other

As time begins

to melt away

Forbidden lovers in the night…

As the sun begins to rise,

they know there time is ending

Until the time when they will be accepted

They turn to each other

as they part

Lingering for that passing moment

that has drifted away

They turn away

from each other

Going to their

separate lives

Forbidden lovers in the night…

Two lovers who dream of happiness

they can never have

Their courage they have not

So instead they

live their separate lives

during the day

Dreaming of their secret meetings

at dusk

A dream that’s lost in their fantasy

Which they have chosen.

Forbidden lovers in the night,

Taking what they need to survive

In there fools paradise

Forgetting the reality

they choose not to have

Forbidden lovers in the night...
