DESTRUCTION BY MAN
Factories billowing smoke in the air Creating massive gray and dark clouds To decorate the blue and endless skies.
The
lights and sounds crowding the night As the many cars invade the streets Emitting the fumes to perfume our lives.
Up against the horizon the endless hills emerge Mounds and mound of pungent garbage Bringing
the flocks of birds to set and roost.
The industrial age has contributed so much From the lights, cells, PC’s, and palms To nuclear waste and chemical seepage
Can we see the destructions
patterns? The patterns that man has created For the ultimate need of advancement.
The almighty man who destroys the air Contaminates the water we ingest And destroys the atmosphere that protects.
What
will make us realize The devastation and havoc we are causing For the rewards of gluttony and greed
How many facts and reports do we ignore? When will we realize to protects and cherish Instead of
invading and destroying
As we look at what is left of this beautiful world Will we come to realize the reality of truth? MAN IS HIS OWN WORST ENEMY
Man will destroy himself And the world around
him Which in turn will become his true legacy
