I Wonder

(Ponderings in the Night)

I look across the ocean sparkling in the night

I wonder what it is that is coming to be

The world changing as fast as it spinning in space

Changing like the seasons that seem to be no more

The desperation and fear coming to a head

Shielding our families from priests or molesters

Whoever they are attempting to be in the name of God

Destroying the gift of innocence, our children.

The controlling politicians and ultimate leaders

Ruling and planning with no concern for our lives

Using young lives to serve their ultimate objectives

While they run and hide trembling in the underground.

The striking disasters of nature growing in the world

Mother Nature taking, destroying the environment we build

Replacing her land and oceans with the oneness of nature

Cleansing and eliminating the invading offenders of destruction

Gods hand coming down and giving us death and disease

Suffering from our own technology we create

Radiation, anthrax, pesticides, ozone holes, just to name a few

We ultimately will destroy for it seems our nature.

Playing at a game of being the creators of life

Splicing, slicing and dicing so we can get the end result

Of the mirrored image of our justified egoistical selves

Wanting to be the God of a Garden of Eden so long ago

I look across the ocean sparkling in the night
